The kids had so much fun with Halloween this year. We had the church trunk or treat party and Kierras school party. Because I was in charge of her school party I was able to have the boys hang out as well. What fun we had with 19 1st graders!!

Kierra likes to control our boys and this was a result of a snow day...

Rhett had his 2nd birthday. We can hardly believe it has already been 2 years. They grow to quickly. So our photographer was Kierra and as you can see I didn't end up with much. What can you say? She did her best:)

Rhett was so excited about getting a gift card with a picture of a racing car that he had to go to sleep with it.

Kierra was her usual brave self, she was excited to get to school. I just can't believe we are doing this again. It was a long day without her and I think Brock died of boredom. When we picked her up she sat a balled and told us how long and boring school was. Friends are difficult and didn't want to play with her and she never wanted to go back and just wanted to move back to Idaho. With a lot of encouragement and love from her dad she was ready to go at it again. The next two days were a little better with less and less crying when we picked her up. I think its gonna take some time but she'll adjust. We are so proud of her, she is such a little trooper. And yes she picked her outfit out. She tells me that you don't call her shoes "shoes" they are "sneakers". And so it begins...(note the backpack is almost as big as her)

August 18...We sure love you! Again another year has gone by and I can hardly believe how much she has grown up. Kierra continues to be such a little fire cracker. To start the day out Josh took Kierra out to breakfast to spend some one on one. She loves her time with her daddy.
So of course she wanted a big party for her birthday, but with her birthday being one day before school started we thought we'd just celebrate with the family. We will have another little party in Idaho for her with her cousins, she is really looking forward to that.(Yes we will be in Idaho with family for one week, we are all so excited! It'll be a much needed get away:)

My kids get really bored sometimes and this is a result of that...Earlier in the day Kierra had done my hair with all those bows, it was a sight. So the next thing I know Brock has Kierra sitting down to get hers done. Brock is quite the hair stylist:) It is actually very relaxing. And Rhett...he just likes to hang out with me. He won't let Kierra put one clip in his hair:)

Sherri, Chris, Chloe and Carter came out to stay with us for a whole week. We were so excited to have them come. It was such a fun week. It went by way to quickly. We started out with a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. We had done this trip several weeks earlier but loved it and wanted to show them around. The hiking was so much fun and the kids were good little troopers considering the heat. Later in the day we walked around all the little shops in Estes Park and had to get my favorite fudge and before leaving we ate at our favorite little BBQ place. SOO GOOD! The next day we did school shopping for the girls all day. That is always my favorite. I love shopping. However Kierra even though she is only barely 6 has a very strong opinion of what she will and will not wear. (she likes skater style, nothing tight or too cutsy) So we didn't always agree on everything but oh well, she'll be stylin' her way.

Tuesday we went to Denver to The Wildlife Experience museum where the kids could do the Globeology exhibit. Its a wildlife experience that covers four major habitats, from the Great Plains to the Rocky Mtn. Peaks. The kids loved it. It didn't take very long but it was very realistic and the animals are really lifelike. We walked on a path that took us through the whole exhibit. Oh and before we did all that we had a fun lunch with animal shaped chicken nuggets which the kids of course loved. It was a fun day.(the weird mirrors were the funniest thing ever)

Wednesday we went to a water park right here close to home. It was soo fun. Sherri and I did the slides right off before the lines got long. I could do water slides all day, but that wouldn't be fair to Josh to have to watch the kids all alone:)

Thursday we did a little bit more shopping and later that night the guys watched the kids while Sherri took me out to get a body massage. Oh it was so heavenly! I need to have those done more often. Just to even be without the kids was nice for a change! That was so nice of you Sherri, thanks again! The next day they left and we all sat around here wondering what to do with ourselves. It was great to have them stay with us for the week though and we hope they enjoyed it as much as us:)

Cheyenne Frontier Days

Back in July we took the kids to the Frontier Days in Cheyenne and what an exhausting day. We started the day off with the USAF Thunderbirds air show. That was the coolest thing I think we did all day. The planes were so LOUD and fast.(1000mph) They are amazing. They did all kinds of stunts and my gosh they come so close to each other, their timing has to be so perfect. It was so fun to watch! After the show we went to the rest of the fair for the day. So of course the kids wanted to see everything and go on all the rides. It was so hot and for the most part the kids weren't even tall enough to ride any of the cool rides they wanted, but as you can see they still had a blast!

Rocky Mountain National Park...

This park is amazing. There is so much to see and do. It was an exhausting adventurous day hauling the kids around, but they did very well considering we hiked around two lakes and two waterfalls. Later we drove on this tiny little road that wound up the mountain side forever until we got to a little over 12,000 feet above sea level. The air was cool and fresh and the views were amazing! We found a little snow to play in and later came across some elk. It was a long day but a much needed little get away with the family.

Yes, I know this is nasty. However, no matter what I say this is how Rhett and Jenna just are. He just loves her and well as you can see, it goes both ways. After I took the picture I showed it to Rhett and he covered his mouth with both hands and with a totally disgusted face said, "ewe gross"! Still it wasn't enough to make him quit lovin on her. Oh well, what can you do?!:)

A lazy Sunday afternoon...

Our house had gotten up to a sultry 85 degrees, which shows on Rhetts sweaty little head while napping. Later on in the day it finally cooled off and we had a sweet tooth for some chocolate chip cookies, the best way to end a day in my opinion. We don't have Josh around a whole lot, so we really enjoy having him around even if we are plain out lazy.

We spent the first part of the day in "old town" Fort Collins. The kids played on blow up toys, went on a wagon ride and checked out all the little booths along the way. Despite Rhett's overwhelming enthusiasm on his face, he did love the cotton candy. We had lunch together at a little sandwich shop and later drove to Denver where we spent the evening with the Hiatt's and Wiedrich's cold and wet, watching the fireworks. It was so fun to be with all of them again!

This was the best day I've had in a long time. We got together with our friends again from Memphis. We all had such a fun time. I've missed them so much. We spent the morning at the zoo which was amazing. Later on us girls just sat around and talked. I always love my time with Jennifer and Melissa. They are the best! The kids were all so excited to see each other again. What a fun day. I've been so sad since I got back home. I just wish we lived even closer!! Thanks for letting us stay over night and for all the good food Jennifer. And Melissa your cheesecake was to die for! We'll have to plan on getting together again soon:)

Brocks 4th Birthday!

It really seems like yesterday that I had him. I don't know what happened. He is growing up so fast. He has such a funny personality that is always making us laugh. He is quick and sharp and just fun to be around. He is all boy. He loves motorcycles and big trucks, anything loud and rough. Lightening McQueen and Spiderman are by far the coolest. He is very active and enjoys being the center of attention. I can go on and on, there's is so much to love about Brock :)We sure love him.(I normally just buy the cakes but his birthday fell on a Sunday this year and I didn't want to get it the day before and have it dried out, so this was my attempt to do it myself)

We are so proud of Kierra. She has had such a great year. She was so excited from day one to learn and make new friends. She has worked hard and has grown up a lot. She is very independent and loves to be a leader. When we moved she was a little sad, but moved on quickly. She has been a trooper. After we got here, within the first few days she told us she was ready to go to her new school and make new friends. She fit right in and loved every minute of it. She came home so happy and couldn't stop talking about all her new friends. Apparently she's very likable and outgoing. I've heard all kinds of great things from all the moms of the kids who just love Kierra.

We went on an 8 mile bike ride that started out with Rhett falling asleep in the bike seat while we were going. So we had Kierra trade Rhett places and sit in the bike seat and yes she actually still fits:) We put Rhett and Brock together while Josh and I took turns pulling these munchkins. You would think we'd be the ones worn out.

The other day Josh thought it would be a great idea to get away for the day. We drove through the mountains, which were beautiful. We came around a corner and saw these bighorn sheep right next to the road. We couldn't believe how close they let us get. The kids thought that was awesome. We pretty much just did a lot of driving around looking at scenery. The kids spent a couple hours at a park, where they made a new friend who wanted to be in all our pics :) We did a little candy shopping and drove up to see this amazing hotel. It was gorgeous! Later that evening we ate at the best BBQ place...equal to Memphis style. And for me to say that you know it had to be good. By the end of the day we were all exhausted. Three little kids wear ya down quick. My favorite pic is the one where Kierra is sharing her lollipop with Rhett. Too cute:)

A "What the hell" moment...

I was having one of those days from the second I got out of bed the other day. By dinner time I was ready to kick everyones butt! I'm trying to get dinner finished with Rhett balling at my feet, and Kierra comes upstairs and says "Oh something bad happened" I lost it at this point. I could not do one more thing that day. This is what I found...

It may not look that bad but I was ticked. Wax is not exactly easy to clean out of carpet. I absolutely love my candle warmer. It makes my house smell so yummy. I asked her, well I shouted and demanded what the hell she thought she was doing? Her reply, "I was walking on the ledge trying to stay away from the fire and tripped" (Her and her imagination) Well there's a written rule that if they are going to fall they will fall in the worst spot and make a mess, I swear. I'm not a patient person anyway so crap accidents like this make me think I need to get to the Dr. and get on some Prozac for my childrens best interest. However I can laugh about it now and yes, I am over it. I will have to get another lamp.

We went in to visit Josh at work during his lunch break, and the kids were messing around with Joshs desk. Well Rhett kept trying to climb in the drawers to climb up on the desk and you know us...we couldn't resist. He fits perfectly. The first time he laughed. I pulled out my camera and it wasn't so funny anymore. Josh and I got a good laugh out of it.

I know this looks bad, like all I do is let my kids watch T.V. all day. No, I'm not like that! We are lucky if we can get Rhett to sit 5 minutes. Apparently he likes big bird. He sat long enough to get the pic and then he moved on. Its just funny that he goes from watching no T.V. to glued to the screen:)

Rhett is talking more and more all the time. So it is starting to get real interesting around here with him :) Today Josh came home for lunch and before he left he offered to change Rhett for me since I said he was stinky. Well lucky for Josh he'd hardly gone. So Josh heads back to work and not 5 minutes later Rhett finally finishes a major stinky diaper. I take him upstairs and while I'm getting ready to change him I say "Oh Rhetter you did a real stinky, someone help me" and Rhett looks straight at me with a puzzled look and says, "daddys gone". All I could do was laugh. He is so silly.

Earlier that day I attempted to go to town and when I pulled up to an intersection I stopped to fast that all the snow on top of my car fell on my windshield, blocking my view entirely! It was about 4-6 inches thick. My wipers wouldn't move. I got out and wiped one little spot so I could see but what a joke. I had to pull off the road at the next intersection barely able to see where I was driving. The kids were in the back laughing there heads off cause "ha ha mom can't see". I was stressed to the max for a minute there. I couldn't read signs and to make matters worse, I didn't hardly know the area at all. We didn't do much shopping that day, we just headed home. I wish I had brought my camera with me so I could show you all the snow but I don't pack it with me all the time.
The kids were so bored having to stay in doors, but what can you do? I wasn't willing to haul all the snow stuff back out. I had already put it all away. When we first arrived here it was so nice, so we did not expect this at all. It forced the kiddies to get used to the house for a few days.

We've moved!

We finally did it! We packed our house up and moved to Colorado where Josh now has an awesome, full time job! We are so excited. We arrived last week and got everything unpacked within the first several days. I'm not as organized as I'd like to be yet but hey, its a bit of trick with 3 very busy helpers:)
We are in such a pretty area and there is so much to do. We live in a very busy, active neighborhood. We are still renting so there isn't a whole lot I can do with the house but I am loving all the space and especially our backyard.
And yes I know if I'm going to take pics of the house every room should at least be spotless, but that is a bit of a challenge around here. Kierra insists on doing her whole room herself and as for everything else...whatever. Ignore our temporary curtains, if they trick Rhett into thinking it is night a little longer we're all very happy. The only downfall to this house is the downstairs bathroom/laundry room. I'm not a fan but as far as Josh only having to drive 3.7 miles to work and Kierra being 2 minutes from school, I figured it was worth the trade off. Anyway it will be a fun house to decorate! I'm so excited.

We spent the afternoon at my moms house. The kids and their cousins dyed Easter eggs and had an Easter egg hunt outside. Rhett was the funnest to watch. Every time he found an egg he'd say "oh wow" when he realized they all had candy inside. He just couldn't believe that every time he opened an egg there was candy inside! To make the Easter egg hunt a little more exciting Grandpa Forbush hides a silver and golden egg with money. Kierra and Chloe were the winners. They were so excited to find them!

Celine Dion Concert!!!

As a surprise for our anniversary this past November Josh had bought tickets to the Celine Dion show in Utah. (she has always been my favorite singer!) I was so excited. However the concert was postponed till February, and while organizing the computer stuff I accidentally threw the envelope with the tickets inside away. A week before the concert Josh was asking about those tickets and I recalled throwing the envelope away at least a month before. To make a long story short we got everything sorted out and had such a fun time. The hotel, eating out and no kids was a much needed vacation.

Valentines Day.....

We don't do a whole lot for Valentines Day, and Josh had to work anyway, but I thought it would be fun to decorate the kitchen and make a yummy breakfast. We had mixed berry crepes with vanilla pudding, whipped cream and powdered sugar. It's more like a dessert but its so good. The kids loved it. Later for dinner we had roast, potatoes, rolls and a fruit salad. Josh brought home these beautiful flowers for me and a rose for Kierra. She was so excited! What a simple but great Valentines!

Life.........

Sometimes life doesn't go the way we had planned... right?! When Josh finished school we were so excited to move back to Idaho. We love being close to our family and friends. We fully expected Josh to find a job here. Well it has been almost 1 year now and our situation hasn't changed a whole lot. We are so discouraged, stressed, frustrated and pretty much beside ourselves. We had finally decided that perhaps we just weren't meant to be here. We had recently looked at Colorado as a possibility but as Josh was planning to head out they called and said everything wasn't working out the way they had hoped and it now wouldn't be ready till June! By this time Josh had already talked to every Optometrist from Pocatello to Jackson Hole! You can imagine our discouragement. Well the same day we got a call from a lady in Twin Falls for a job opening which we thought for sure was an answer to our prayers. To make a long story short we got the job. BUT the next several weeks proved to be even tougher than we expected. We visited Twin and tried to find a house and to our disappointment everything just wasn't working out. We were trying to be positive and optimistic but decided after many prayers, and fasting this wasn't something we wanted to jump into. In the end we turned down the offer and unpacked our home and though it seems like we just made a whole lot more chaos and work for ourselves we have been much more at ease, we still are trying to be patient and have faith that things will work out. We just have to be patient. The last year has been very trying and humbling. Josh has decided to keep trying to get some part time work around here, so he is pushing hard for more work with all the doctors in the area. Something just has to work out! We'll see....
So if my mind hasn't been on blogging its easy to understand why:)
On the up side Josh and I are closer than ever and our kids are keeping us pretty busy. They are growing like weeds. They change all the time and though I want to pull all my hair out some days, and wonder what it would it would be like to have a clean house, we sure can't imagine our lives any other way! We love and enjoy them so much! The other day Kierra was just saying the funniest stuff, so I thought I'd share.....

We were eating blueberries and I told the kids that they are so good for your bodies, well Kierra asks "why?" I told her all about their nutrition. So she says "If they are so good for our bodies when you were in the hospital having babies did people bring you lots of blueberries to eat so you'd get better?" All I could do was laugh, she always thinks things through so seriously.

The other day Rhett comes into the kitchen saying "Oh No" and he was holding a cotton swab with one end of the cotton gone. I knew earlier Brock had used it to clean out his ears and asked him if the cotton had gotten stuck in his ear. Well he says "yes" totally serious and then looks at me like now how the heck are we going to get it out of there, cause its an endless hole didn't you know. Kierra very calmly walks over to Brock and says "Well it looks like dad will have to use his magic tricks to get it out." All I could do was laugh. Again a simple solution. They believe Josh really uses magic when he pulls candy out of their ears. So if it works for candy it can surely work for cotton right?:)

You know how some days you just know its gonna be a day before you crawl out of bed? Well we are privileged to have these quite often. The waffle iron was the last straw of the day. I can't remember what happened from morning up to this point but by dinner time we thought we were done. For dinner I'd given a Rhett a refried bean burrito with sour cream, well I wish I had a picture to show you. It was everywhere imaginable. So we cleaned him up and put him on the floor. Well he gets mad and climbs up on to one of our kitchen chairs so that he can be up to the table with us,(keep in mind we have the extra tall chairs.) Of course he falls off on his head. We calm him down and try to continue eating and the next thing we know he has taken his diaper off, and while Josh is getting a new diaper, Brock says "Mom Rhett is spraying himself" I look over and he has managed to get past the elastic holding the cupboard shut and is spraying my Kitchen anti-bacterial cleaner in his face, luckily most was on his mouth and neck, so thankfully he missed burning his eyes, and his pacifier in his mouth kept him from drinking it. It gets even better. He runs into the room and hides under his crib and while Josh is pulling him out he pees on the floor. If he'd waited 5 more seconds we would have had a diaper on:) By this point Josh and I are beside ourselves! He had already pulled the waffle iron out earlier and it was still sitting on the floor. Well he comes out and picks it up and as I'm taking it away from him telling Josh "I better put this up before he breaks it too" I didn't notice his foot on the cord and it pulled it right back out of my hand and hit the floor hard breaking all over. So there were little sharp pieces of plastic everywhere. GO FIGURE! By this point I just started laughing and couldn't stop, Josh thought I was losing my mind. I guess you can only deal with so much before you go nutty! Like I've said before, there is never a dull moment around here!:)

We are so excited about all this snow. Since we have lived in Memphis for 4 years the kids have never really seen a winter snow storm. They are loving it. They went outside first thing this morning and have been in and out all day. Rhett on the other hand isn't so sure. He wants to hold the snow, but when it freezes his hands he just stands there and balls.

As you can see Rhett wasn't really excited when we were putting up the tree, he had no idea what kind of fun the tree would be yet...

Since I can't stand kids helping me decorate the tree, I told them we would let them do their own little one downstairs. Well both trees have turned out to be pathetic, the kids' being the worst. Rhett will not leave them alone. He broke the bottom lights on mine and all the ornaments have been taken off the bottom and thrown back in somewhere. The kids' tree downstairs is the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. It is worse then the Charlie Brown tree! Rhett has pulled it over several times and believe it or not it used to be full of ornaments that are now broken or put back in the box. As you can see there isn't much left to look at. It is pretty funny :)

Kierra invited us to her Kindergarten Christmas carol program. She was so excited to show us what they had been working on. Once she came out she was all business. Brock does not know what to do with himself when Kierra goes to school. So the other day I told him to just go downstairs and play. Well it was really quiet for a long time and this is what I found...I don't know how he managed to actually fall asleep like this.

On the 10th of November it was our anniversary. I figured we'd go to dinner and that
would be the end of it. However, Josh pulls out a letter that he'd written and in it he told me how much he loves and appreciates me, but as I got to the bottom it said that he had been planning a little trip for the last few months. We were leaving the end of November for a few days to have a little break away from the kids in Salt Lake City. I was so excited! As I continued reading he said he had bought Celine Dion tickets and we were going to see her concert that weekend. I couldn't believe it. She is one of my favorite singers EVER! It was such a fun surprise, I had no idea he was planning all this.

So a few days before we were supposed to go, we found out that the Celine Dion concert has been rescheduled. We were so bummed out. But we had a fun trip anyway. Our hotel was absolutely amazing and beautiful! We had so much fun! We ate out at some pretty fancy restaurants and did a little shopping. Since the Celine show was rescheduled for Feb. of 2009 we went to "The Savior of the World" at Temple square instead. It wasn't Celine but it was so so good. I'm glad we were able to get in. Apparently they sell out months in advance. This whole Anniversary was such a fun surprise, Josh you are so sweet. It took a lot of work to arrange all this for me. It was a much needed break! We are so grateful for all the help from family and friends who took on the major task of watching our 3 kids!

For Halloween we went to the ward trunk or treat. Kierra was princess Leona from the Barbie Diamond Castle movie, Brock was Buzz Lightyear, and Rhett was a bear. I thought they all looked so cute.

My friend and I were able to do Kierra's Kindergarten Halloween party. It turned out to be so much fun. We had all kinds of activities and games for the kids. Afterwards we marched the kids through the whole school so that everyone could see their costumes.

Holly (my sister-in-law)invited us to a Halloween party. And for once in our lives we actually dressed up. We had such a fun evening! Here is us with Matt and Leslie(our friends)and the white powdery stuff all over my face is from a doughnut eating contest where we couldn't use our hands:)

We went over to Papa and nana's to carve pumpkins. The kids had so much fun. Kierra and Brock were really into the carving this year, however Rhett was way more interested in eating everything that came out of the pumpkin. He ate the the seeds and all.

The month of October was pretty busy for us. I always seem to get behind and before I know it, it has been over a month since I posted anything. Since the weather has not gotten too cold here yet, Josh still takes all the kids on motorbike rides. The other day, I hurried and got a picture of Rhett. October 18th was Rhett's first birthday! We had our family over for the usual cake and ice cream. Rhett wasn't into unwrapping the gifts but he loved all that he got. He hasn't stopped playing with everything. Thanks everyone! It was a fun day for him! I just can't believe that it has been 1 year already!

So the other night I was doing dishes after dinner and Josh says, "Amber hurry quick!" and this is what I see...apparently he didn't get enough for dinner:)(he's holding a leftover pancake from breakfast, and digging for the leftover cake I through away after dinner)

I'm always reading books to the kids and usually when I read, Rhett will go sit down in his car seat and just listen. Well this time I had read enough so I gave the book to Josh and before we knew it Rhett was cuddling in with all of them on the floor for his own story time. He is such a cutie.

We finally had our first real snow! We woke up last Sunday to this...the kids were so excited. I love it when it starts to snow and the holidays are just around the corner.

Our kids are growing so fast and I'm not one to pack my camera everywhere, but lately I have been trying to do better. These are just some random pics of the kids that I thought were cute...

We are so excited that Rhett is finally walking without help. Sunday, September 28th he just started walking across most of our living room. We couldn't believe it. He has been walking along furniture for a long time but would always chicken out when it came to the real thing. He is by far our latest walker but that could be because he has Kierra to haul him everywhere he wants to go. He will be 1 year on the 18th of October. Kierra was walking by 8 months and Brock at 9 months. I can't believe how fast time flies. Also on the same day Josh took the training wheels off of Kierra and Brocks bikes and after about 2 minutes they had it figured out. It was such an eventful fun Sunday. They are all growing up too fast. I want to put the video of the kids riding and Rhett walking so everyone can see them. We'll see if I can figure it out this weekend:)

The kids looked so cute all lined up watching a Barbie movie in nana & papa's camper last night. Since Josh is always working we weren't able to do the camping thing but we went up for dinner and had a lot of fun. However on our way home a raccoon walked out in the middle of the highway and there wasn't much we could do going 70mph. So we nailed it and lost part of the underneath left side of our car. Oh well what can you do right?

I know all of my friends will never believe that I made this cake but I did, with the help of my friend Leslie. This was her second time and my first. It was very easy to do but very time consuming. From start to finish we probably spent 13-14 hours. It is all real cake too. (about 7 cake mixes)It was so much fun to do. We even made our own edible fondant. We learned how to make this cake by watching cake shows like "the challenge" and online step by step movies. In the end it turned out perfect and it even held together and tasted great. We were so proud of ourselves! And believe me if I can make this cake anyone can!

Rhett just barely figured out how to get on this toy and ride around our driveway. He has so much fun, he giggles the whole time he's moving. He is becoming more and more grown up and less and less like a baby. It's exciting and sad at the same time.

My kids all love bath time! They always have. Rhett now thinks it's funny to dunk his face under water and come up gasping for air. He is so much fun:)

Rhett will follow Jenna (our dog) everywhere. He loves her so much. The second he sees her he starts squealing and smiling until I put him down then he crawls all over trying to pin her down long enough to lay on her. He loved to lay on her back and just cuddle with her as long as she will let him. She tolerates him well considering how much he pulls on her fur and ears:)

Lately I've been getting tired of doing all the work around this place, so one night I decided that Kierra and Brock would do the dinner dishes (what little bit didn't fit in the dishwasher) To my surprise they were so excited. They loved it. It took forever to do the little bit that they had but at least I had a break :)

Those two fight all the time but I don't know what they would do without each other. They are inseparable.

Our little neighbor "Dill" spends all his time with Brock and Kierra. You'd think they were on some giant hill from the sound of their squealing as they go down this mini ramp. They think they are cool stuff!

My mother in law invited all us girls to come up with her to the Milo 1st ward retreat. It was only from Friday to Saturday, but a much needed mini vacation. We talked non-stop and had such a fun time together. And my kids were actually glad to see me when I came home. Sometimes they need the break from me as much as I need the break from them.:)

Kierra started Kindergarten...

A couple days after Kierra's 5th birthday she started Kindergarten. Since then everything has been a lot busier around here. She was such a trooper her first day. I expected her to be more nervous and maybe cry or something but she did great. For breakfast she wanted pancakes, but not just any pancake, a K for Kierra and Kindergarten. Not leaving Brock out we made him a B for Brock and butterfly. Kierra insisted that her hair be curly and she picked out her outfit. Of course it would be Hannah Montana which I was hoping not! Oh well huh? I walked Kierra up to the door where all the other kids were also waiting. She told me she was fine and that she would see me later. That was that. She checked out her classmates, and got in line and waited for the teacher to come out and get them. Then she waved goodbye and walked in. So that made the first day pretty easy. It isn't like they are in school all day either, in Idaho they only do half days and Kierra got the afternoon schedule from 12:00 to 3:00. So far she is loving it. Her teacher, Ms. Day is very animated, as she talks to the kids she sings half the time. She is a lot of fun. Kierra has made a few new friends that she really likes and looks forward to school most of the time.

She has been so excited for this day to come. If you have young girls you'll know all about the Hannah Montana obsession! So of course the decorations and cake were a must have. We invited all our family over for cake and ice cream. She had a really fun day and was spoiled with way to many gifts. She'd like you to see all of them but I think we have enough pictures so instead I randomly posted a few. No offense if yours isn't shown:)THANKS everyone for coming. We had so much fun. That night after everyone had left she said "mom, I had a really fun birthday!" Chloe,her cousin stayed for a sleep over and those two talked and played till well after midnight. Talk about the perfect day!

August 18, was Kierras birthday! To start the day out, Josh took her out to breakfast for a little date. She was so excited! She loves spending time with her daddy.

Later we went up to the Rexburg water park. We had all her cousins come up to play. They had so much fun. It was the perfect day to play in the water. Grandpa got everyone pizza for lunch...so yummy!

On Saturday at the Taylor Crossing area in Idaho Falls they had a festival with all kinds of fun stuff for the kids to do. However I have no pictures cause I forgot my camera. Anyway, we first got to ride in a trailer pulled by those really big horses. Kierra and Brock loved that. Next we went over and watched the BMX bike stunt show. Of course Brock thought they were so cool. When they finished he got himself a poster and had all the guys sign it. That was pretty cool for him. The kids played on all the big blow up toys and tried cotton candy for the first time. Kierra loved it. Brock didn't like it all that much and Rhett was so funny, I wish I had a picture of his face. He kept slapping my hand to get it away from his mouth. I don't think he liked the texture. That night we watched a rock concert by the "Grand Funk Railroad" That was so much fun and sooo LOUD! By the end of the night our ears were all ringing. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday together.

Last Sunday we had a really fun reunion. I got to see all my cousins and their little kids. It has been a while and they have grown so much. We had such a fun time just hanging out and letting the kids play together. I didn't get many pics, but here's a few. This is my Grandpa Stringham with me.

Later that evening we just hung out in our backyard and watched the kids play, it was relaxing since we had just gotten home from Bear Lake that day, and had the reunion a few hours later. It was good to be home!

We had such a fun trip with all of the Davis family. The Lake was beautiful and so much fun for the kids. We did a lot of swimming, jet skiing and boating. It is such a beautiful place to visit.

In the morning we'd head out on the deck to eat breakfast, we had such a pretty view.

Since our kids were always up at the crack of dawn despite going to bed late, we were up one morning and forgot to shut the door and a hummingbird came in and got stuck inside the cabin. Josh had to catch it in a cup up in one of the windows. You can't tell by the pic but it was so pretty, the kids loved it. We've never seen one so close before.

The kids all played so hard at the lake, swimming and building sand castles. They had such a fun day, that on the way home they were completely worn out! (The cutie in the middle is Carter, their cousin.)

My neighbor, Leslie and I took all our kids over to see the art museum. My kids didn't care for the art gallery. They did however have a lot of fun in the kiddie room. They could create all kinds of stuff with magnets and shapes. They got to be creative and practice being an artist.

I've pretty much accepted the fact that my house will never be clean for longer than an hour and the kids will always find a way to keep me from doing all that I want to get done in a day. I was trying to get laundry folded but as you can see with the 3 helpers on the floor I didn't get very far. During dinner Josh and I usually can't hear ourselves talking so we just listen to Kierra and Brock ramble on about who knows what. Kierra has quite the personality and just likes to be a dork sometimes, as you can tell by her face. She just does stuff like that randomly to make us laugh.

Our little weekend get away was so much fun. We recently just got new neighbors and we have become such good friends. They have 3 boys that Kierra and Brock think they can't spend a day without. They invited us to go up to Island Park with them. While we were there we floated the river, went biking, and took a little trip to West Yellowstone. As always the kids made the trip quite eventful!

We went up camping for the weekend and did some boating and 4 wheeling. Kierra and Brock did pretty good on the hot dog considering it was their first time. I love camping and boating so much, what a blast!

We had such a fun day with all the family. In the morning we went to the Idaho Falls parade. The kids loved all the candy they got from that. After that we went over to Freeman park and let the kids play while we ate our traditional KFC chicken. Later we took the kids over to Nanas and Papas to play in the kiddie pool. That afternoon we went to our favorite spot for the fireworks and had a delicious bbq. The fireworks were great as usual!

What a fun weekend we just had!! Camping was so much fun. Sherri and Chris invited us to go with their family. Thanks again guys! I wish I had taken a picture of their poor truck with all of our pedal bikes and dirt bikes. We need a truck badly. They ended up hauling all our stuff,(what a load)with the camper. When we got there we hooked the bike trailers up and took the kids for a fun trail ride. They loved it. There was so much to see. It really was so pretty up there. Of course there was the dutch oven cooking, my favorite part, and roasting bags of marshmallows (the coconut ones are the best!!) Nighttime was interesting with 5 kids in a little camper. They seemed to always wake each other up making for long nights. Saturday we hit some more trails again, and took the kids on a hike. It wore them right out, but they enjoyed every bit of it. There were creeks to play in and endless flowers to pick. Josh and Chris did some mountain climbing on their dirt bikes and then hauled the kids around, Brock thought that was the best part of camping. He LOVES dirt bikes!! We decided it is a lot of work camping with KIDS, but still way fun. We have got to start doing this more often.

Holly, (my sister-in-law)had this great idea for the girls hair. We're going to be getting all of the grandkids together for a picture and thought these would be cute with their outfits. It's official. On May 2nd 2008 after lots of work and 4 long years at SCO (Southern College of Optometry), Josh finally graduated from Optometry school. We are so proud of him!

In August of 2004, on the day of Kierra's first birthday, Josh and I moved our little family to Memphis, TN to go to optometry school. We spent 4 years there and made a lot of great friends and got to experience a whole new life. In May of 2005 we had Brock. In October of 2007 we had Rhett.
